BYU moving up the Polls on their Bye Week

This week I thought BYU had a very good chance to move back into the top 25, since they were setting at either 26 (AP & Harris) and 27 (Coaches) in the Polls. Plus with some the match-up there was good chances that top 25 teams would lose. Well tonight with North Carolina going into Blacksberg and knocking off #14 ranked Va Tech and giving them their 3rd loss (2nd straight in a row) sure could be a good start. For sure Utah should be moving up a spot across the board. Other match ups that could help BYU are; X #22 Mississippi 20 @Auburn 33 X #21 South Carolina 13 @Tennessee 31 X #20 West Virginia 19 @South Florida 30 #18 Miami 28 @Wake Forest 27 Southern Miss 43 @#16 Houston 50 X North Carolina 20 @#14 Virginia Tech 17 X #5 USC 20 @#12 Oregon 47 X #3 Texas 41 @ #13 Oklahoma St 14 All those games could go either way, in fact I picked both Auburn and Tennessee to win in this "Picks Club". With this North Carolina win tonight, hey BYU might move 3 to 4 places if things fall right... 6 ranked teams lost today, so the question is not if BYU will ranked it will be were... But it would help Utah move up the Polls.... But I'm hoping that Texas wins really big, so it will increase BYU's chances to jump them... Rex

I'll be surprized if USC doesn't drop 9 spots in the polls. After all that is how far BYU and Oklahoma fell when they lost their first game. Go Cougars!!!! Lee Tanner
